~ The South Academy Boulevard Improvements Project is set to begin traffic shifts on Sunday night, March 12 between Platte Avenue and Airport Road. The shift will reduce traffic to one lane for approximately five weeks, allowing crews to perform median removals and construct detour pavement. Concrete barriers will be used to ensure safety during the process.
Daytime lane closures will also start on Monday, March 13 between Fountain Boulevard and Jet Wing Drive on the south segment of the project. This allows crews to locate underground utilities and install temporary traffic controls. Travelers in the area should expect delays and alternative routes are advised.
