~ ## Colorado Springs parks department plans fall festivals, Halloween events

The Colorado Springs Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services Department is offering more than a dozen fall events, including historic demonstrations, fossil activities, Halloween celebrations and recreation programs.

"Whether families are returning to a favorite tradition or residents are discovering a new program close to home, these events show the many ways our parks, community centers and cultural sites help people connect," said PRCS Director Skyler Rorabaugh.

Outdoor events begin Oct. 3 with a History Stroll, a one-mile tour exploring how Colorado Springs has marked time. The tour is also scheduled for Oct. 10 and 24. That day, Rock Ledge Ranch Historic Site will host its Harvest Festival from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., featuring wagon rides, music, cider-making demonstrations, games and pumpkins for $6.
