~ Colorado Springs - Starting on Monday, April 7 at 9 p.m., the I-25 South Connector Road and portions of South Tejon Street will be closed overnight for construction work. The closures are expected to last until Tuesday, April 8 at 5 a.m.
According to officials, the closures are necessary for crews to complete various tasks such as placing pavement markings, installing signage, and performing traffic signal work. The first closure will affect the I-25 South Connector Road and northbound South Tejon Street. Once this work is completed, these segments will be reopened and southbound South Tejon Street will be closed.
During the first closure on Monday night, detours will be in place for drivers. Northbound traffic on South Tejon Street is advised to take Brookside Street to South Nevada Avenue to the I-25 North Connector Road and then onto South Tejon Street. Those heading towards East Motor Way can take Brookside Street to Woodburn Street before reaching their destination.
