BOULDER, Colo. - ColoradoDesk -- Elevated Color Consulting, a new color consultation service founded by longtime Boulder color expert Tami Petrarca, has launched to help homeowners across Boulder County choose paint colors that work with their home's light, architecture, and finishes.

Most homeowners know to hire a painter, an architect, or a designer. Far fewer know that professional color consulting is its own service. Elevated Color Consulting fills that gap, and it does so in person. Petrarca meets clients on site for every consultation, evaluating each home in its actual light and space rather than working from photos or a showroom.

Color has become a harder decision than it used to be. Homeowners now sort through thousands of paint options, and both natural light and LED lighting can dramatically change how a color looks throughout the day. Open floor plans add another layer, since colors have to flow from room to room instead of standing alone. Getting all of that right is difficult without guidance.

"After years in high-end painting, I understand how color truly lives in a beautiful space, and how important it is to get every detail right," said Petrarca.

The stakes are higher than many people realize. As homeowners invest more in remodeling and renovation, a wrong color choice can turn into a costly mistake, whether that means repainting, delays, or finishes that fight each other. Petrarca's process is built to prevent that. Her Elevated Color Method walks clients through understanding the home, defining a color direction, curating a palette, testing colors on site with large sample boards, and finishing with a complete color plan.

Petrarca (formerly Maurer) built her career from the ground up, starting hands-on in the painting trade before building one of the area's most respected high-end residential painting companies over more than 20 years. She is known for noticing details many painters overlook, including clean color transitions and overall visual harmony, and she has become a trusted resource for local architects, builders, and interior designers.
