PUEBLO ~ PUEBLO - In response to an incident involving injured law enforcement officers in Pueblo, Governor Jared Polis has released a statement expressing his support and gratitude for the brave men and women who put their lives on the line every day to protect their communities.
"Our men and women in uniform work tirelessly on the front lines, risking their own safety to ensure the safety of others," Governor Polis stated. "Pueblo is a resilient community, especially in times of adversity like this. I am closely monitoring the situation and receiving regular updates. The Colorado Bureau of Investigation is actively assisting with the investigation, with support from State Patrol."

The governor also commended the actions of all those involved in stopping the violent suspect and offered his prayers for the three injured officers. The details of the incident are still under investigation.
