DENVER ~ Governor Polis has appointed Michelle A. Chostner to the 10th Judicial District Court, effective April 29, 2023. The vacancy was created by the retirement of the Honorable Deborah Eyler.
Chostner is currently a Magistrate for the 10th Judicial District, a position she has held since 2021. Her docket consists of truancy, traffic infractions, small claims and probate matters. Prior to this role, she was a Senior Deputy District Attorney for the 10th Judicial District (2016-2021); Associate Attorney at Kendra Oyen, LLC (2015-2016); Deputy District Attorney for the 1st Judicial District (2014-2015); Deputy District Attorney for the 18th Judicial District (2013-2014); and Deputy District Attorney for the 17th Judicial District (2008-2013).

Chostner holds a B.A from University of Colorado Boulder and a J.D from University of Denver Sturm College of Law.
