DENVER ~ Colorado Gov. Jared Polis congratulated Jena Griswold, Amanda Gonzalez and Jeff Bridges on their election as attorney general, secretary of state and treasurer, respectively. He also congratulated Sen. John Hickenlooper and other candidates elected to public office.

In a statement, Polis said Coloradans appeared to have voted in record numbers for a midterm election, describing the turnout as a sign of their commitment to making their voices heard. He thanked election officials for ensuring what he called secure and accessible elections and praised people who ran for state and local office.
