~ Colorado Springs City Council is seeking volunteers to fill two alternate-member vacancies on city advisory bodies.
One opening is on the Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services Advisory Board, which advises City Council on parks and recreation resources. The board meets at 7:30 a.m. on the second Thursday of each month to review issues involving parks, programs, recreation facilities and related resources.
The other vacancy is on the TOPS Working Committee, which oversees revenue and expenditures for the TOPS fund. Established by a 1997 public vote, the fund supports partnerships to preserve open space, trails and parks. The committee meets at 7:30 a.m. on the first Wednesday of each month.
