FAIRFIELD, Calif. - ColoradoDesk -- Fairfield, CA — K Patrice Williams, candidate for Fairfield City Council, District 1, recently earned endorsements from a wide range of prominent Californians, from public servants to unions, as well as business owners and community members. District 1 is a newly formed district that represents Cordelia and Green Valley.

Williams has been endorsed by Congressman John Garamendi, Senator Bill Dodd, Assembly Member Lori D. Wilson, City of Fairfield Mayor Harry Price, Vice Mayor Rick Vaccaro, Councilwoman Doriss Panduro, Supervisor Erin Hannigan, Superintendent of the Solano County Office of Education Lisette Estrella-Henderson, educators Clarence "Izzy" Isadore former Principal of Rodriguez High School, Dr. Nikki Pitcher Principal of Matt García Career and College Academy, as well as, retired educators Joe Jones, Dr. Frances McCollough, Mayrene Bates and Kevin McNamara. Solano Community College District Trustees Quinten Voyce and A. Marie Young, Fairfield Suisun School Board Trustees, Ana Petero, Dr. David C. Isom, Bethany Smith, Craig Wilson and John Silva (retired). She has also received endorsements from public safety groups, including Fairfield Fire and Police Officer Unions, Napa Solano Building, Construction and Trades, Napa Solano Central Labor Council, SEIU 1021 and 2015, and the Solano Democratic Central Committee.

Williams is running on her reputation as a trailblazer in business and a Fairfield community activist committed to tackling the problems of affordable housing, homelessness, and local economic development. She holds a Juris Doctorate from San Francisco Law School and bachelor's degrees in marketing and economics.

As CEO of BrandGOV, Empower Solano, Williams leads a staff of 12.  As she knew one day she would, Williams started BrandGOV where she works hand-in-hand with community-based organizations, nonprofits and business owners.  Her focus has been emergency preparedness, COVID-19 education, a reentry Hiring Fair, redistricting and Census 2020 awareness closing Solano County self response at 99.7%.  Williams is also known for her work creating COVID-19 mobile community testing, and supporting Census point and time count for our unsheltered has resulted in millions of additional funding.

As the founder of the Solano/Napa Chapter, Black Women Organized for Political Action (BWOPA), Williams partnered with the League of Women Voters, Asian Pacific Islander American Public Affairs Association (APAPA) Solano Chapter, NAACP, Solano Community College, sororities, fraternities, interfaith, and youth organizations to launch voter registration drives. Together these organizations increased voter turnout in the county.

As a Former Metropolitan Transportation Commission public policy commissioner, Williams supported regional transportation decisions that resulted in positive impacts for Fairfield seniors, business owners, working families, and community members who are disabled.

Ballots will arrive the week of October 11. It is free to mail in ballots. The general election is November 8, 2022.
