Bibamba Artisan Chocolate uses signature 60% dark chocolate to recreate Denver's historic landmark in celebration of Colorado's 150th birthday.
DENVER - ColoradoDesk -- Bibamba Artisan Chocolate, named Best Chocolatier in Denver by Westword, has unveiled a detailed chocolate sculpture of Denver Union Station at its chocolate factory inside Edgewater Public Market. Handcrafted from approximately 70 pounds of chocolate, the piece measures 49 inches long, 20 inches wide, and 20 inches tall. It is now on public display for visitors to see in person.
"As a Colorado chocolate maker, we wanted to honor this incredible place we call home," said Patrick Tcheunou, co-founder and CEO of Bibamba Artisan Chocolate. "Denver Union Station is one of Colorado's most iconic landmarks and represents the history, creativity, and community that make our state special. Crafting this tribute is our way of celebrating Colorado's 150th birthday while sharing the craftsmanship, passion, and joy behind our ethically sourced, farm-to-table chocolate."
"Creating a model of Denver Union Station completely out of chocolate was definitely a unique challenge," said Avery Lankford, chocolate maker at Bibamba Artisan Chocolate. "I worked from many different photographs and used both math and creativity to construct this piece, from the general structure to the intricate details, with the same care and effort that we bring to every sweet treat we make."

The sculpture debuted just ahead of Colorado Day, celebrated on August 1, when Colorado commemorates its 150th anniversary of statehood. August also marks Bibamba's sixth anniversary of sharing ethically sourced, single-origin chocolate with the Colorado community.
