Colorado Springs: CSPD Seeking Assistance Locating the Suspect Identified from Homicide in the 6400 Block of Caddy Point

~ On the morning of August 7, 2024, the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) received a call for service in the 6400 block of Caddy Point. Upon arrival, officers and medical personnel discovered the body of a deceased female with at least one stab wound.

Five days later, on August 12, 2024, the El Paso County Coroner's Office conducted an autopsy on the victim and identified her as 54-year-old Haleh Abghari. While the cause and manner of death are still to be determined by the coroner's office, CSPD is treating this as a homicide. This marks the 26th homicide in Colorado Springs this year, compared to 18 at this time last year.

During their investigation, detectives gathered enough evidence to issue an arrest warrant for 53-year-old Ceasar Lorenzo Wilson. However, Mr. Wilson has not yet been located by investigators and is considered armed and dangerous. He is wanted for second-degree murder in connection with Ms. Abghari's death.

CSPD is asking for assistance from the community in locating Mr. Wilson. Anyone with information on his whereabouts should contact CSPD at 719-444-7000 or Pike Peak Crime Stoppers at (719)634-STOP (7867) or 1-800-222-8477 if they wish to remain anonymous.

Photos of Mr. Wilson have been provided by CSPD in hopes of aiding in his capture. The department urges individuals not to approach him if seen but to immediately contact authorities.
