Later, he toured the State Capitol, including the Old Supreme Court Chambers and the dome's Rotunda, and visited the Colorado School of Mines with Polis. At the school, Hancock met with leaders and toured a geothermal lab and innovation hub.
The day concluded in Golden, where Hancock met with residents and helped unveil two art installations marking Colorado's 150th birthday, the release said.
Hancock said he learned about issues affecting people across the state and was grateful to Polis for selecting him for the role. Polis said Hancock approached the day with curiosity and confidence and described the experience as an opportunity to learn how state government serves Coloradans.
