DENVER ~ In a recent announcement, Governor Jared Polis unveiled a new public dashboard that provides Coloradans with a unique insight into the impact of strategic state investments. This dashboard showcases how these investments have helped secure over $1.3 billion in federal infrastructure funding for various improvements across the state.
The interactive dashboard, which tracks the return on investment from the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) Cash Fund, highlights the success of Colorado in utilizing state resources to successfully compete for federal funding and deliver much-needed infrastructure improvements in communities throughout the state.
Governor Polis expressed his pride in Colorado's ability to deliver tangible results for its citizens through smart investments and aggressive competition for federal funding. He stated, "Transparency builds trust, and we're proud to show exactly how Colorado is making every dollar count."
Established by the General Assembly in 2022, the IIJA Cash Fund has provided support to state agencies, local governments, Tribes, and nonprofit partners through grant writing assistance, technical support, matching funds, and regional grant navigation. These investments have resulted in Colorado securing over $1.3 billion in federal funding while providing taxpayers with a return of nearly $10 for every state dollar invested.

Joint Budget Committee Vice Chair Jeff Bridges emphasized the importance of taking full advantage of competitive opportunities like this one. He stated that by leveraging a relatively small state investment, Colorado was able to bring home significant federal funding for crucial projects such as roads, water infrastructure, and environmental initiatives.
The newly launched dashboard allows users to explore federal funding secured through the IIJA Cash Fund and search hundreds of projects by county, congressional district, funding category, and assistance program. It also highlights how different forms of state support work together to help communities successfully compete for federal grants.
One such project highlighted on the dashboard is the spring rehabilitation project in Crawford that helped secure the town's water supply's future. Grant Knowles from the Town of Crawford expressed his gratitude for the state's support, stating that it made a significant difference for their community and helped them compete for funding they otherwise would not have been able to pursue.

Other projects showcased on the dashboard include efforts to revitalize core infrastructure, connect local governments to grant writing experts, and expand broadband access. The State's investment in grant writing assistance and technical support has made the application process for federal grants more accessible for local governments.
The new dashboard is part of Governor Polis' commitment to transparency, accountability, and ensuring that Colorado receives its fair share of available federal funding. By making this information publicly available, Coloradans can better understand how state investments help unlock federal resources that improve infrastructure, strengthen communities, and support economic opportunity across the state.
The dashboard is now available for public access on the Polis Administration's website. With this new tool, Coloradans can see firsthand how their tax dollars are being utilized to bring about positive changes in their communities.
