DENVER ~ Denver - In a show of bipartisan cooperation, Governor Polis signed a series of bills into law today that will have a significant impact on education, child welfare, and the justice system in Colorado.
The first bill, SB25-219, was sponsored by Senators Judy Amabile and Barbara Kirkmeyer, and Representatives Shannon Bird and Rick Taggart. This bill repeals the Colorado Career Advisor Training Program, which was designed to provide training for career advisors in schools. However, it was found to be duplicative of other programs and was not being utilized effectively.

This bill creates the Accelerated College Opportunity Exam Fee Grant Program, which will provide financial assistance to low-income students taking college entrance exams.
