TELLER COUNTY ~ Teller County authorities have received assistance from the state of Colorado in their ongoing rescue efforts at the Mollie Kathleen Mine. Governor Jared Polis has directed state resources to aid in the rescue of individuals trapped inside the mine.

In a statement, Governor Polis expressed his commitment to ensuring a speedy and safe resolution to the situation. He has been in communication with Teller County Sheriff and County Commissioners and will continue to stay updated on the progress of the rescue effort.

The Governor has also been in contact with local law enforcement and is closely monitoring the situation. The state has already deployed personnel to assess the situation and provide support on-site. This includes a Field Manager from the Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management, as well as a mine rescue team from the Department of Natural Resources.
