~ Colorado Springs, CO- On August 31, 2025, a tragic traffic crash occurred near the intersections of West Colorado Avenue and 32nd Street. The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) received a call for service at approximately 12:20 AM and responded to the scene.

Upon arrival, officers discovered that a motorcycle had struck a curb before leaving the roadway. Tragically, the rider of the motorcycle was found deceased at the scene. The CSPD's Major Crash Team was called in to conduct an investigation due to the nature of the crash.

According to initial findings, speed is believed to have played a role in the accident. Fortunately, no other injuries were reported.

The El Paso County Coroner's Office conducted an autopsy on September 1st and identified the deceased motorcyclist as 28-year-old Dylan Hart. This marks the 39th traffic fatality in Colorado Springs this year, with last year's number at 37 during this same time period. In total, there have been 51 traffic fatalities in the past year.

The CSPD continues to urge drivers to exercise caution and follow all traffic laws to prevent further tragedies on Colorado roads.
