Colorado Springs Pioneers Museum to host Conejos Neighborhood Reunion

Trending...
~ The Colorado Springs Pioneers Museum (CSPM) is excited to announce that they will be hosting the Conejos Neighborhood Reunion on Saturday, Sept. 13 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. This free and family-friendly event will be filled with food trucks, crafts, a car show, live music from Mariachi Lobos, and performances by Ballet Folklórico de la Raza.

According to Leah Davis Witherow, the CSPM curator of history, this reunion holds special significance as it reflects the deeply held bonds of former Conejos residents to their families, faith, culture, neighborhood and the City of Colorado Springs. The exhibit entitled Una Familia Grande: The Conejos Neighborhood Project was opened by CSPM five years ago to showcase the importance of this once vibrant neighborhood in the community's history through artifacts, photographs and stories.
