On the morning of March 25th, 2025, a group of three individuals went on a crime spree in the Colorado Springs area, which included the robbery or attempted robbery of six convenience stores, a burglary of another convenience store, and a burglary of a barber shop. These events occurred in just over an hour's timespan between 3:47 a.m. to 4:51 a.m. Two of the incidents occurred in unincorporated El Paso County, and the remaining incidents were in the City of Colorado Springs.
The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) Robbery Unit took the lead on the investigations, in conjunction with detectives from the El Paso County Sheriff's Office. Detectives learned through the investigations that three individuals armed with an AR-style weapon stole money and vape products from the businesses. In the two burglaries, the suspects broke into businesses in an attempt to gain access to cash machines. From a review of victim statements and surveillance video, detectives were able to show that the same group was responsible for all of the events. During this spree, the suspects had used a stolen motor vehicle, which was found abandoned later that day.

Over the past six months, detectives followed up on several investigative leads and were able to identify two of the three suspects as juveniles. In August of 2025, the CSPD Robbery Unit, with the assistance of members from the Denver Police Department and Aurora Police Department, served search warrants at two residences, which connected the two juvenile males to the crime spree.
On September 16th, the CSPD Robbery Unit obtained arrest warrants in connection with all the above crimes for both juveniles. One was a 15-year-old juvenile male, and the other was a 16-year-old juvenile male. Both parties were already in custody on unrelated matters and were served the warrants on September 22nd, 2025. The third suspect remains unidentified at this time.
CSPD is appreciative of the collaboration by all agencies involved that helped in the investigation, and for everyone's efforts to hold those responsible for these crimes.
This remains an ongoing investigation, and anyone with any information related to this incident is asked to call CSPD at 719-444-7000. If you wish to remain anonymous, you can call the Crime Stoppers Tip Line at 719-634-STOP (7867) or 1-800-222-8477.
