~ The City of Colorado Springs has announced plans to make improvements to Dublin Boulevard, a major road connecting Fieler Drive and Marksheffel Road. The project is set to begin in the spring of 2025 and will include various upgrades and additions.
To inform the community about the upcoming changes, a public open house will be held at Skyview Middle School on Tuesday, Sept. 17 from 5-7 p.m. Members of the Public Works staff and project team will be present to answer any questions from attendees. There will be no formal presentation, allowing guests to drop in at their convenience.
The improvements to Dublin Boulevard will involve transforming it from a two-lane road to a four-lane road with shoulders. A raised median will also be constructed to match other sections of the boulevard. Additionally, a 10-foot multi-use path will be added on both sides of the street, along with trail connections along Sand Creek. A new traffic signal at Issaquah Drive is also part of the plan.

In addition to these changes, drainage upgrades are also included in the project. This includes installing storm sewer pipes, inlets, and water quality structures. The new traffic signal at Issaquah Drive will address recurring groundwater issues west of Peterson Road.
Currently in its design phase, construction for this project is expected to begin in spring 2025. Those interested can find more information about the project on display at the open house or by visiting coloradosprings.gov/dublin.
