Colorado: Governor Polis Appoints Rory N. Devlin to the Elbert County Court in the 23rd Judicial District

DENVER ~ In a recent announcement, Governor Polis has appointed Rory N. Devlin to the Elbert County Court in the 23rd Judicial District. This appointment comes after the retirement of the Honorable Palmer L. Boyette and will be effective as of July 2, 2025.

Mr. Devlin brings a wealth of experience to his new role, having served as the Staff Judge Advocate for the Colorado Army National Guard since 2010. His legal practice focuses on military and criminal law. Prior to this appointment, Mr. Devlin held positions as a Senior Deputy District Attorney and Deputy District Attorney in the 18th Judicial District from 2012 to 2021.

In addition, Mr. Devlin also served as Deputy and Command Judge Advocate for Special Operations Joint Task Force - Afghanistan in 2014 and from 2018 to 2019. He received his B.A. from Creighton University in 2009 and his J.D. from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law in 2012.
