Echoing similar sentiments, Eve Lieberman highlighted EVRAZ North America's role as a key contributor to both the Pueblo economy and the state. She noted that the company has invested close to $1 billion in building a state-of-the-art long rail mill and has provided employment opportunities for thousands of Coloradans. Lieberman believes that this sale will further enhance EVRAZ's presence in southern Colorado, ensuring its success for years to come.

To support EVRAZ's expansion in Pueblo, the Colorado Economic Development Commission approved up to $17 million in transferable tax credits through the 2017 Transferable Tax Credit Program. This decision was made considering EVRAZ's location in an Enterprise Zone.
