Colorado Springs: North Tejon Street traffic shift starts Monday

Trending...
~ As part of the ongoing Tejon Street Revitalization Project, motorists and pedestrians can expect a traffic lane shift on Tejon Street, north of Pikes Peak Avenue, from May 19-23. According to city officials, the southbound lane will be shifted into the center turn lane for approximately 200 feet to allow crews to move a fire hydrant.

The project, which aims to improve public safety, pedestrian accessibility and business activity, will involve heavy equipment and excavation of the street. However, there is no expected water service outage for nearby businesses during this time.
