~ Colorado Springs, CO - The Colorado Springs Police Department has announced that Dustin Cole Rottinghaus, a convicted sex offender, will be on unsupervised release and has relocated to an address within the city. According to Colorado law, the community must be notified of his presence.
Rottinghaus has been labeled as a "Sexually Violent Predator" (SVP) by the Colorado Courts due to his past behavior. In compliance with state regulations, the police department has taken several steps to inform and protect the community.
Firstly, they have notified the Colorado Department of Public Safety's Sex Offender Management Board (SOMB) Notification Team. Additionally, they have reviewed and confirmed Rottinghaus's residence, employment status, access to vehicles, legal standing, and past crimes.
