This 100% FREE Open Source Microsoft Access Add-In allows users to quickly create Access linked tables to tables in a SQLite database through a GUI interface directly within their Microsoft Access database.
DENVER - ColoradoDesk -- Imagine Thought Software, an industry leader in specialized tools for Microsoft Access, is proud to announce the release of the Microsoft Access Link-to-SQLite Add-In tool. This open-source utility is designed to bridge the gap between the ubiquitous Microsoft Access environment and the high-performance, cross-platform SQLite database engine.
For years, Microsoft Access developers have sought a simpler method to create linked tables to SQLite databases. The old process often involved creating VBA code to set connection strings, manually editing the ODBC connections, or using clunky machine DSNs to store the connection information. This new Link-to-SQLite Add-In provides a streamlined, graphical user interface (GUI) that automates the linking process, stores the connection string in the linked-table locally, and allows developers to create new SQLite linked tables in seconds.

The Link-to-SQLite tool features an intuitive dual-pane selection window where users can browse to their SQLite database file, view all available tables, and select a specific table to link to their Access database. Key features include:
--- A GUI Interface for Creating SQLite Linked Tables: A quick and simple interface for linking to SQLite tables from within Microsoft Access.
--- Seamless Integration: Works as an Access Add-In, appearing directly in the user's ribbon for easy access.
--- Trustworthy Computing: The Link-to-SQLite tool is open source, ensuring complete transparency about what the tool does and how it works.
