~ The City Council of Colorado Springs is seeking passionate individuals to join various Boards, Commissions, and Committees in order to shape the future of the city. These volunteer positions are crucial for the growth and development of the vibrant community.
There are currently vacancies for one Voting Member and Alternative Member on the Planning Commission. This commission plays a vital role in reviewing land development applications, advising on long-term city planning efforts, and providing citizen input to the City Council on stormwater systems and enterprise operations.
The Planning Commission holds two regular monthly meetings, an informal session on the first Thursday and a formal session on the second Wednesday, both at 9 a.m. The deadline to apply for these positions is Friday, July 25, 2025 at 5:00 p.m. Interested individuals can submit their applications online at ColoradoSprings.gov/boards or email them to Ayana Garcia at Ayana.Garcia@coloradosprings.gov. Alternatively, applications can be mailed to City Council at 107 N Nevada Suite #300, Colorado Springs, CO 80903.

In addition to the Planning Commission vacancies, there is also an opportunity for one Resident and one Nonprofit representative to join the Stormwater Advisory Committee. This committee meets quarterly on every third Thursday of the month at 2 p.m. Their responsibilities include advising and making recommendations on projects related to stormwater systems.
