Trending...
~ Colorado Springs - Mountain Metropolitan Transit (MMT) has announced proposed service enhancements that will potentially improve the public transportation system in the area. The transit agency is seeking public comment on these changes, with a deadline of Thursday, August 14, 2025.

If approved, the proposed enhancements will go into effect on Sunday, September 28, 2025. These changes include adding a new stop on Route 3 at the Dillion Mobility Hub on Manitou Avenue in Manitou Springs. This addition aims to provide easier access to the east side of Manitou Springs for commuters.

In addition, MMT plans to extend Route 9 on weekends by adding a new end point. This will allow for more convenient and efficient travel options for weekend riders. Furthermore, adjustments will be made to Route 32's timepoint to improve connections with Fountain Municipal Transit.

Route 33 is also set to undergo several changes, including the addition of new stops and the elimination of some current stops. During peak season, frequency will be increased while off-peak season frequency will be reduced. As a result of these changes, Route 33 may potentially be eliminated.

Other proposed changes include additional stops on Routes 34 and 38 and a timepoint change on Route 39. These modifications aim to improve overall service and accessibility for riders.

MMT encourages members of the community to provide their feedback and suggestions before the deadline in order to ensure that these proposed enhancements meet the needs of its ridership.
