~ The City of Colorado Springs has announced that the intersection of Hopeful Drive and South Blissful Circle will be closed for approximately four weeks starting on July 7. This closure is part of the Park Vista Drainage Improvements project, which aims to improve storm drainage in the Park Vista South Neighborhood.
According to city officials, the closure and timeline are subject to change depending on weather conditions and available resources. During this time, access to Blissful Circle will only be available from the north via Siferd Boulevard to Hopeful Drive.
The work at Hopeful Drive and South Blissful Circle will require 24-hour pumping with staff on-site around the clock for noise mitigation. The City of Colorado Springs Stormwater Enterprise, in cooperation with El Paso County, is overseeing this project. The improvements will address drainage and flooding issues that have historically impacted the Templeton Gap Floodway.
