As the city of Colorado Springs marks its 154th birthday, residents are filled with a sense of gratitude for their extraordinary home. Mayor Yemi Mobolade expressed his appreciation for the city and its people in a heartfelt message to the community.

In his statement, Mayor Mobolade reflected on his recent health challenge and how it gave him time to contemplate not only his own journey but also that of the city. He was reminded of the enduring truths that healing takes time, progress requires perseverance, and both are only possible with the support of a strong community.

The mayor praised Colorado Springs for its resilience, compassion, and spirit of togetherness. He envisioned a city of innovation, learning, natural beauty, and human flourishing. And he didn't just dream; he took action by donating land for parks, schools, churches, and railways.
