Burn Restrictions for Colorado Springs to go into effect Friday, October 11

Trending...
~ Colorado Springs, CO - On Friday, October 11th at 12 p.m., the Colorado Springs Fire Department Fire Marshal Brett Lacey announced the implementation of burn restrictions for the city. This decision comes as a result of dry fuels and unfavorable weather conditions, which pose a potential threat to the safety of residents and the city.

According to Marshal Lacey, these restrictions are necessary to prevent any potential fire activity and ensure the protection of both the city and its inhabitants. The following activities are prohibited during this time:

- Any type of fire, whether open or contained, in undeveloped wildland areas, brushy areas or grassy areas.
