Adoptees, Adoptive Parents, Birth Parents, Birth Families, Social Workers & All Impacted by Adoption Are Invited to Submit Their Stories
CHICAGO - ColoradoDesk -- New National Nonprofit Launches to
Capture Firsthand Accounts of Adoption Stories
From 1920's to 2020
(May 7, 2025 – Chicago) – As we celebrate all moms this Mother's Day, a new nonprofit, the Adoption Chronicles Project, launches to capture the stories of adoptees along with their adoptive and birth mothers, parents and families. The organization's mission is to uncover and preserve the many stories about adoption that exist in our world, especially while people are still around to share their experiences.
All individuals impacted by adoption are invited to share their stories at www.adoptionschronicles.org. The Adoption Chronicles Project already showcases feature stories on the organization's website for inspiration: a woman in her 80's who lived for 60 years not knowing her true birth story; a biracial adoptee with a compelling story about her ethnic origins and a heartwarming reunion with her birth mother; and the founder, an adoptive parent, who has been involved in over 4,500 adoptions from 17 different countries.

"It is our goal to capture the stories, good and bad, with a special emphasis to document the history of experiences from decades ago while those affected are still around to still share about their experiences," explains Adoption Chronicles Founder, Richard Pearlman. "The stories that exist can go from heartbreaking to heartwarming, but the important part is capturing them. We felt that Mother's Day was a meaningful time to launch and honor both women who yearn to become mothers and the ones who believe placing their child with another mother provides the best future for their child."
Donations are also being accepted through the organization's website to help support this effort to document and preserve the historical accounts of adoptees, adoptive families, and birth parents. Options range from monthly recurring donations to more creative options like sponsoring produced videos to document and preserve people sharing their stories.
