Addressing Phil Weiser's "Opportunity Agenda" The Colorado First Movement wants more than talking points.

DENVER - ColoradoDesk -- "Colorado doesn't need more programs — we need progress," said Dr. Gregory A. Thomas, Republican candidate for Governor. "Attorney General Weiser's plan sounds good on paper, but Coloradans are tired of polished promises. They want results."

Dr. Thomas's Colorado First agenda takes a different path — one built on empowerment, not bureaucracy.

"Phil Weiser talks about opportunity. Colorado First is building it," Thomas said. "We're eliminating the state income tax, empowering local communities to lead job training, and investing in mobile food banks and mental health units in all 64 counties. We don't need new agencies — we need accountability."

On rural investment, Thomas drew a clear contrast:

"You can't manage rural Colorado from a Denver office. We'll fund infrastructure from the county level up — roads, broadband, and water projects led by the people who actually live there."

On small business:

"Instead of taxing ambition, we're rewarding it. Eliminating the state income tax will make Colorado the best place in America to start and grow a business."

On education and youth:

"We'll pay teachers more and redirect dollars to classrooms, not consultants. Our Mentorship Pipeline will connect students directly with tradespeople, entrepreneurs, and veterans so they graduate with purpose, not just paper."

Thomas closed with a challenge that defines his campaign:

"Colorado First isn't about government doing more — it's about government doing better. We're not here to divide by party or zip code. We're here to build a Colorado that feeds its families before it funds its politics — a state that stands proud, self-reliant, and united under one banner: Colorado First."
