BELMAR, N.J., Nov. 7, 2024 ~ Playa Bowls, the nation's top superfruit bowl shop, has announced significant growth during the third quarter of 2024. The company has signed 52 franchise commitments and opened 11 new stores, expanding its presence in both established and new markets. This includes locations in Lexington and Pittsburgh.
According to Jayson Tipp, Chief Development Officer at Playa Bowls, the company's success in 2024 has been remarkable. With over 275 stores nationwide and an expected 75 openings this year, Playa Bowls is on track for continued expansion. Tipp also notes that nearly 300 franchise commitments have been made since the start of the year, with 55% of these commitments coming from existing franchisees. This demonstrates their confidence in Playa Bowls' growth potential.
Among the existing franchisees driving Playa Bowls' expansion is Cody Benisch and Robert Wissing. The business partners currently operate five Playa Bowls locations in Denver and have committed to opening five more over the next two years. Their first new location will be in Boulder near the University of Colorado, set to open by the end of this year. This will bring their total store count in Denver to 10, a significant step towards their goal of bringing Playa Bowls to more local communities.
