Applications Now Open for the Oil & Gas Cleantech Challenge. A Market-driven showcase that connects clean technologies to global oil and gas organizations.
DENVER - ColoradoDesk -- Colorado Cleantech is now accepting applications for the thirteenth annual Oil & Gas Cleantech Challenge, a market-driven innovation showcase to be held in person in Denver, CO, on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, at the Colorado Governor's Residence.
Colorado Cleantech is hosting the Oil & Gas Cleantech Challenge in partnership with international oil and gas industry leaders. The program provides targeted connections between our industry sponsors and clean technology solution providers with the common goal of meeting the industry's needs while introducing innovative cleantech solutions to the marketplace. Companies selected for participation in the program have the opportunity to present directly to industry leaders.

"The Oil & Gas Cleantech Challenge is about bringing together the people who can turn innovation into implementation," said Colorado Cleantech Executive Director Laura Hickernell. "By connecting technology companies with energy producers and industry leaders, we're creating opportunities to solve real operational challenges while supporting a more efficient, resilient, and competitive energy sector."
Colorado Cleantech partners for this program include Chevron, Oxy, Ovintiv, Bpx, Altira, Consulate General of Canada, The Colorado Office of Economic Development & International Trade, The Colorado School of Mines, and The Colorado Energy Office.

Interested innovative companies will enter a competitive vetting process, after which 10-12 companies will be invited to present their technologies to the oil and gas partners. The application deadline is Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at 5pm (MDT).
