~ Colorado Springs, CO - The Memorial Park basketball courts have recently undergone a major transformation, thanks to the efforts of Hillside Connection and founder Terrell Brown. The renovations include a Colorado Springs inspired mural, new backboards, upgraded hoops, and new player benches. These improvements not only enhance the playing experience but also create a welcoming and safe environment for all participants.
The project was made possible by a generous grant from Every Court Has A Story, an organization dedicated to revitalizing basketball courts in communities across the country. A ribbon cutting celebration for the newly renovated courts will be held on Saturday, Oct. 12 at 10 a.m., open to all community members.
Mayor Yemi Mobolade expressed his gratitude to Hillside Connection for their commitment to the community and dedication to promoting youth development through sports. He stated that the renovated courts offer an exciting space for community engagement and friendly competition in downtown Colorado Springs - also known as Olympic City USA.
