DENVER ~ The Office of eHealth Innovation (OeHI), under the leadership of Lt. Governor Dianne Primavera, has officially unveiled the 2025 Colorado Health IT Roadmap. This comprehensive strategy outlines the state's priorities for transforming the health technology landscape in order to better serve communities and save money for Coloradans.
The roadmap is the result of extensive public engagement and collaboration with over 600 stakeholders from various sectors, including providers, patients, public health partners, and community-based organizations. It is guided by three key principles: collaboration, community, and parity. The plan sets out strategic goals to support more connected, person-centered, and accessible care through technology.
According to Lt. Governor Dianne Primavera, "Colorado's health technology systems should work for people, not the other way around." She believes that this roadmap is a crucial step towards reducing disparities and ensuring that everyone has access to high-quality care regardless of where they live. She commends the Office of eHealth Innovation for their efforts in supporting this vision and meeting the needs of Coloradans.

One of the key initiatives outlined in the roadmap is the development of the Colorado Social Health Information Exchange (CoSHIE). This ten-year vision aims to connect clinical and social services data across agencies and community organizations. Additionally, there will be continued efforts to streamline access to digital health tools, improve interoperability, and reduce barriers to care coordination.
Stephanie Pugliese, Director of the Office of eHealth Innovation, emphasizes that this roadmap goes beyond being just a strategy. It is a commitment to ensuring that policies, funding, and technology investments align with the needs and voices of Coloradans across the state. It also promises transparency and accountability in achieving these goals.
This 2025 roadmap builds upon previous versions released in 2019 and 2021. It reflects the Polis-Primavera Administration's broader vision of creating a Colorado for All, where care is affordable, accessible, and equitable for every individual and community. The full roadmap is available on OeHI's website in both English and Spanish.
