New brand delivers robust, elevated, maintenance ~ Denver-based real estate company, Headwaters Group, has officially launched its new brand, Aspendale. The brand aims to fill a growing need in the active adult 55+ housing market by offering age-restricted communities with luxury amenities and lifestyle programming.
With the U.S. senior population expected to nearly double by 2060, there is a high demand for well-designed housing that supports active aging. Aspendale plans to meet this need through its four in-progress developments across Colorado and the western U.S.
Chris Ducay, Senior Vice President of Operations and Finance at Headwaters Group, stated that the Aspendale brand is a strategic response to the gap in the market between traditional multifamily apartments and full-service senior living. He believes that Aspendale will raise the standard for active adult living and empower individuals to thrive and stay connected during their retirement years.
Aspendale communities offer a range of amenities to support active living, including fitness centers, outdoor turf areas, creative arts studios, card rooms, resort-style pools, and dining courtyards. These amenities are energized by Elevations by Aspendale, a lifestyle program where residents can participate in enriching community events.

Each private apartment home includes energy-efficient appliances, upgraded countertops, custom closet systems, private balconies or patios, and large windows for maximum light and views. The communities are conveniently located near major roadways, shopping centers, and healthcare services.
Currently in development or leasing are four Aspendale communities: Aspendale Centennial in Centennial CO; Aspendale Northglenn in Northglenn CO; Aspendale Littleton in Littleton CO; and Aspendale Scottsdale in Scottsdale AZ. These communities offer a variety of apartment homes with different amenities such as two-story clubhouses with event spaces and views of downtown Denver or the McDowell Mountain Range.
Headwaters Group recognizes the critical shortage of senior housing and has a disciplined, scalable approach to address it. This includes developing their own 55+ communities and strategically acquiring existing properties across the country. Most recently, they purchased an age-restricted community in Salt Lake City.
