STEAMBOAT SPRINGS – Yesterday, on World Trade Day, Gov. Polis and the Global Business Development Division of the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade (OEDIT) announced Click Medical LLC, the developer of innovative adjustable prosthetic systems, as the 2025 winner of the Governor's Award for Excellence in Exporting.
"Click Medical is a Colorado success story, born from an idea on the ski slopes and now distributing adjustable prosthetic devices worldwide. When companies like Click Medical export their goods and services, they contribute to a thriving Colorado economy that works for everyone. Congratulations to Click Medical on their success, improving patients' lives while creating jobs in rural Colorado," said Governor Polis.
Based in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, Click Medical creates adjustable prosthetic and orthotic solutions that let users control fit and comfort. In 2009, when Certified Prosthetist Joe Mahon was on the ski slopes, he got a call from a patient who needed him to adjust her device. He noticed snowboarders adjusting their boots quickly and easily with the turn of a dial and wondered if the same system could be used to create adjustability in a prosthetic device. He went on to create RevoFit®, the first adjustable-socket technology that allows patients to control the fit of their device with the turn of a dial.
"Colorado is home to more than 5,000 exporting businesses, 4,800 of which are small and medium-sized. Click Medical offers a great example of how these businesses advance new technologies and services while diversifying our economy statewide. Congratulations to Click Medical!" said Eve Lieberman, OEDIT Executive Director.

Click Medical has added four new team members in Routt County over the past four months to meet growing demand. To support a stable, long-term workforce in a rural area, the company focuses on providing training, internal growth opportunities, and competitive wages and benefits. The company credits these efforts with improving retention as well as quality production and on-time delivery.
To support Click Medical's global expansion, OEDIT awarded the company two State Trade Expansion Program (STEP) grants in 2024 and 2025 to attend Arab Health, a premier international healthcare conference. Through these opportunities, the company has established new business relationships, expanded its distribution network, and increased awareness of its groundbreaking technology among international providers. Since Click Medical's first attendance at Arab Health in 2024, the company's global reach has grown from 39 countries to over 50 countries.
"Growing our company's exports has been vital to our growth, now with 15 full-time employees managing worldwide sales, logistics and support. From Steamboat Springs, our adjustable-socket technology is changing lives in over 50 countries," said Jen Howland, VP of Global Brand & International Business Development of Click Medical.
Trade supports over 820,000 jobs in the state, making international sales vital to Colorado's strong and healthy economy. In 2024, Colorado exported $10.5 billion in products. In 2022, exports supported an estimated 40,000 jobs. Recognizing small businesses with this award highlights opportunities for Colorado to expand its exporting capabilities and grow the state economy particularly through small businesses.
