The Governor's first stop was at DSST: Cedar High School in Denver, which was recently awarded the 2024 National Blue Ribbon.

This marks the third Blue Ribbon Award-winning school that Governor Polis has visited in Colorado. He previously visited Mesa View Elementary School in Grand Junction and Zach Elementary School in Fort Collins.

After his visit to Denver, Governor Polis traveled to Colorado Springs where he launched Colorado's Outdoor Strategy. He then made his way to Odyssey Early College & Career Options, where he highlighted the school's dual enrollment efforts. These efforts allow students to earn an associate's degree while still in high school, saving them thousands of dollars in tuition costs.

In a statement regarding dual enrollment opportunities like those offered at Odyssey Early College, Governor Polis emphasized their importance in helping students gain new skills and earn college credits or even a degree. He also noted that these opportunities are crucial in preparing students for good-paying jobs within Colorado's strong economy.
