DENVER ~ For nearly 30 years, Serve Colorado has been working to improve communities across the state by utilizing volunteerism to tackle pressing issues. In partnership with AmeriCorps, a national campaign has been launched to highlight the value of service and the various programs available for people of all ages.

Colorado Lieutenant Governor Dianne Primavera commented on the AmeriCorps members in the state, saying "Colorado AmeriCorps members lead with an unwavering commitment to create positive change in the communities they serve and in their own lives. Working in fields such as healthcare, education, finance, agriculture, and environmental conservation, Colorado AmeriCorps members exemplify the spirit of service and embody the hope for a brighter, more sustainable future for our state."

To motivate people to get involved in service programs across Colorado, AmeriCorps is releasing a series of television and radio Public Service Announcements (PSAs) that feature AmeriCorps members in action. These PSAs are available in both English and Spanish and can be accessed online for download.
