~ Colorado Springs - Starting Tuesday, December 16, and continuing through Wednesday, December 17, two lanes of Garden of the Gods Road will be closed for overnight construction. The closures will affect both eastbound and westbound lanes of the road, located east of Interstate 25 near Northpark Drive and Mark Dabling Boulevard.
The purpose of the closures is to allow for the installation of new traffic signals in the area. These signals are part of an ongoing project to improve safety for both drivers and pedestrians. While two lanes will be closed during the overnight hours, at least one lane in each direction will remain open for motorists.
