~ The City of Colorado Springs is inviting residents, service providers, advocates, and stakeholders to participate in a public hearing on the draft 2026 Annual Action Plan. This plan guides how federal housing and community development funds will be invested to support low- and moderate-income residents. The public hearing will take place on Wednesday, Jan. 7 from 6 to 7 p.m. at the City Administration Building (30 S Nevada Ave., Room 102). Residents have the option to attend in person, online, or by phone.
The Annual Action Plan outlines proposed priorities, programs, and funding allocations for the upcoming program year. It focuses on affordable housing, homelessness response and prevention, neighborhood improvements, and support for community-based organizations. The City emphasizes that public input is crucial in ensuring that these investments reflect the needs and experiences of the community.
This draft plan is part of the City's larger federal planning framework and identifies how resources from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development will be used to promote housing stability and community vitality. Funding sources include the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program, HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME), and Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) program.
