In addition to the new play equipment, the renovation also included replacing the worn sand surface with an artificial grass play area and adding new site concrete for a more durable and low-maintenance environment. Outdated and damaged equipment was removed, giving the playground a fresh look and a more welcoming feel.

As part of the project's commitment to inclusivity, an Americans with Disabilities Act ramp was added to provide direct access from the parking lot into the main plaza area. This improvement enhances connections throughout this portion of the park for individuals with disabilities.

Funding for this $389,644 project was made possible through contributions from the Trails, Open Space and Parks (TOPS) Parks fund and the Office of Accessibility. Construction was completed by Star Playgrounds.

The newly renovated playground at Rampart Community Park is now open for families to enjoy. With its modern features and commitment to inclusivity, it is sure to be a popular destination for years to come.
