DENVER ~ In the wake of a recent terrorist attack on members of the Australian Jewish community in Bondi Beach, Australia and students at Brown University, Governor Polis has released a statement condemning the violence and calling for unity.
The attack, which occurred over the weekend, has left two communities in mourning. Governor Polis expressed his disgust at the continued gun violence that plagues not only America but also other parts of the world. He stated that no person should ever have to fear gathering to celebrate their religious beliefs or attending school.
"Religious and targeted violence are not normal and can never become normal," said Governor Polis. "Colorado is no stranger to this continued violence, and we must look beyond our differences to our shared humanity."

Governor Polis recently visited Brown University and spoke with students about the importance of love and acceptance. He emphasized that in times like these, it is crucial to come together as a community and support one another.
"Our hearts break again as we send healing thoughts to our friends in Australia and Rhode Island during this difficult time," said Governor Polis.
The governor's statement serves as a reminder that despite our differences, we must stand united against violence and hate. As investigations into the attacks continue, Governor Polis urges everyone to pledge to love one another and put an end to this senseless violence.
