Colorado Springs: First Renters Rights 101 workshop of 2023 scheduled

~ Residents of Colorado Springs are invited to attend the free information session "Renter Rights 101" on Tuesday, May 4 from 6-8 p.m. The workshop will be hosted by Colorado Legal Services attorney Clinton Albert and will cover topics such as lease basics, reasonable accommodations and modifications, deposits, repairs, eviction, and updates on recent Colorado legislation on housing matters.

Barb Van Hoy, City of Colorado Springs Community Development Division policy analyst said "Renters can prevent a conflict from becoming an eviction by knowing their rights and responsibilities, which will be covered in this free class." The event is available for in-person attendance at the Independence Center or virtually at ColoradoSprings.gov/renters101. Attendees can pre-register or join without registering.
