~ Colorado Springs, CO - Starting at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 10, the center lanes of Garden of the Gods Road will be closed for overnight construction work. The closure, which is expected to last until 5 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 11, will affect the area east of Interstate 25. However, at least one lane will remain open in each direction to minimize traffic disruptions.

Motorists are advised to exercise caution while driving on Garden of the Gods Road near Northpark Drive and Mark Dabling Blvd during this time. Safety barriers have been put in place and drivers can expect to encounter heavy equipment, safety signage, artificial lighting and workers on foot.
The ongoing project aims to enhance safety for both drivers and pedestrians by installing new traffic lights at Northpark Drive and Mark Dabling Boulevard. To learn more about this project, visit ColoradoSprings.gov/GOGmedians.
