Colorado: Governor Polis Takes Action to Support Recovery Efforts Following Severe Weather & Flooding

DENVER ~ Governor Polis has declared a disaster emergency in Baca, Jefferson, Kiowa, Prowers and Teller Counties following severe weather and flooding in June 2023. This Executive Order enables state and federal agencies to coordinate response and recovery efforts and seek eligibility for federal funding for these counties. The Governor had previously issued an Executive Order allocating funding to support recovery efforts. With today's action, the five counties will now be able to receive funding from Executive Order D 2023 011.
