DENVER ~ In a move to ensure the integrity of upcoming elections, Governor Jared Polis has signed an Executive Order activating members of the Colorado National Guard to assist with election cybersecurity defense. This order, which has been issued for every election since 2019, comes ahead of the June 30 primary election.

According to Governor Polis, Colorado is known as the "gold standard" for secure elections and this executive action further strengthens precautions against any potential cyber interference. The unarmed members of the National Guard will work alongside existing security measures to safeguard the state's free and fair elections.

Coloradans are encouraged to visit GoVoteColorado.gov for information on polling places, official drop boxes, ballot tracking, and voter registration. It is important for voters to return their ballots by mail or in-person at a polling place or drop box before 7 p.m. on election day.
