Concerts are held in parks and indoor venues for people of all ages
DENVER - ColoradoDesk -- The Denver Municipal Band, celebrating its 165th anniversary this year, has announced the dates and locations of more than 20 free summer concerts which will take place May through September across the Denver metro area. Concerts will be held in parks and at indoor venues.
"Audiences can expect everything from patriotic favorites and jazz standards to Latin-inspired selections and more, all performed in beautiful settings across Denver," said Shane Endsley, director of education and outreach at the Denver Municipal Band. "For 165 years, the band has been part of the city's cultural fabric, and we are excited to continue to bring communities together through music this year."

- May 29 – 6 p.m. City Park grassy area near the Pavilion with the 11-piece Brass Choir
- June 5 – 5 p.m. The Wellshire Event Center for the golf course's 100th anniversary
- June 19 – 7 p.m. The Savoy Denver with the Jazz Band
- June 26 – 7 p.m. Rocky Mountain Lake Park with the Jazz Band
- June 28 – 6 p.m. at City Park Jazz Festival celebrating the festival's 40th anniversary with the Jazz Band and Jazz Combo, featuring soloists Shane Endsley and Tatiana "LadyMay" Mayfield
- July 4 – 11 a.m. Independence Day concert at Washington Park Boathouse with the Brass Quintet
- July 4 – 7 p.m. Independence Day concert with the Concert Band at Washington Park Meadow
- July 5 – 7 p.m. Independence Day concert with the Concert Band at Cheesman Park Pavilion
- July 11 – 7:30 p.m. Southmoor Park with the Concert Band
- July 12 – 6:30 p.m. Washington Park with the Concert Band, Colorado Youth Bands, and special guest soloist Brian Neal
- July 18 – 7 p.m. Harvey Park with the Concert Band
- July 26 – 1:30 p.m. at Arapahoe County Fair with the Brass Quintet
- August 4 – 6:30 p.m. Pinecrest Village Park with the Jazz Band
- August 4 – La Raza Park as part of National Night Out, sponsored by Denver Police Department District 1 and Denver City Council District 1.
- August 6 – 6:30 p.m. Central Park North Conservatory Green with the Jazz Band
- August 15 – 7 p.m. The Savoy Denver with the Jazz Band
- August 16 – 4 p.m. Genesee Park with the Brass Quintet
- August 22 – 6 p.m. Mayfair Park with the Jazz Band
- September 12 – 6 p.m. Central Park South Founder's Green with the Concert Band
- September 18 – 5:30 p.m. Platt Park Family Movie Night with the Brass Quintet
