One area of potential collaboration discussed was improved air connectivity between Colorado and the Turks and Caicos Islands. Premier Misick highlighted the strong interest and demand for direct service from Denver to the islands among residents of both regions.
The meeting also highlighted the economic impact of their partnership. In 2025, Colorado companies exported $1.1 million in goods to the islands, representing a 19.5% increase over the last five years. Additionally, nearly 2 million Americans travel to Turks and Caicos each year, making up a significant portion of international tourists on the island.
This engagement further demonstrates both regions' commitment to building strategic partnerships that strengthen access, tourism, and economic opportunities for their people. As they continue to work together towards mutual growth and success, it is clear that Colorado's relationship with Turks and Caicos will only continue to strengthen.
