DENVER ~ Today, Governor Polis announced updates to his communications staff. Maria De Cambra, who has served as the Governor's Communications and Community Engagement Director since the beginning of his first term, will begin serving as Executive Director of the Department of Local Affairs on December 4th.

Prior to that, he worked for U.S. Senator Edward J. Markey on Capitol Hill, managing and advancing digital communications and advising on legislative issues.

Governor Polis expressed his confidence in Cahill's abilities: "Conor has been a strong voice and dedicated member of my administration for five years and I am thrilled that he will continue serving Colorado and our team as communications director. Conor's experience and leadership have been essential to communicating our goals for Colorado, delivering critical information to the public, and navigating some of our state's most challenging times. He is a trusted advisor, thoughtful leader, and a fierce advocate for building a Colorado For All."
